About Laser Optics

A laser is a device that emits light through a process of optical amplification based on the stimulated emission of electromagnetic radiation. The first laser was built in 1960 by Theodore H. Maiman at HRL, based on theoretical work by Charles Hard Townes and Arthur Leonard Schawlow.

Today we find Optical systems everywhere in this modern world, with an increasing number of applications covering medical sciences (vision technologies, surgical instrumentation, medical imaging), space exploration (telescopes, lenses, spectrometers), telecommunications (fiber optics), information science (quantum computing), Industries (from cutting and welding) and military/weaponry technology. Furthermore, laser and optical technology is used in analytical tools for chemistry and biology to perform applied research. Apart from above we do use optics in everyday life such as telecommunication, eyewear, cameras and many more.

Laser Optics 2020 extending a warm welcome to you to be a part of this amazing gathering in Berlin. This international conference attracting the technical community from the entire globe and welcomes the contributions reporting original research results in all areas of Laser Optics and Optics Fibers as well as in applications, services, and business.
